With its technology, its developments and with its deliveries of flight hardware HPS serves as partner of science and research. On top of that, HPS orders development- and test tasks of their cooperation partners, e. g. innovative materials.
In addition the company supports training and education of students with scholarly works, as well as student contracts. A classic win-win situation: Science contributes latest technological concepts, and HPS provides for the industrial realization.
Science partners of HPS are among others the Technical University Munich, University of Applied Sciences Munich (RF-tests), Frauenhofer/University Hof (development of metal meshes), University Bern/Swiss (development of thermal protection for Exomars 2016), Max-Planck Institute (development of MLI for eROSITA), INEGI Portugal (0-g-deployment testing, CFRP manufacturing processes).
